Located in the Kocaeli Alikahya Organized Industrial Zone, Yıldız Demir Çelik operates on a 300,000 m² area under a single roof in a cold rolling complex, directly employing over 500 people and indirectly providing employment to 2,500 people. The facility transforms hot-rolled input material into acidified hot, cold-rolled/annealed, galvanized, or painted final products after various production processes according to customer needs and demands. The facility, sensitive to environmental and human health, conducts production using the latest technological capabilities and recycled water for the first time in the industry.
The facility, with an annual pickling/cold rolling capacity of 1,500,000 tons, produces a wide range of products for different sectors such as white goods, automotive, panel radiators, general manufacturing, and construction. In its third year in the industry, Yıldız Demir Çelik has certified its sustainable high-quality production with the IATF 16949 Automotive Quality Management System Certificate, a requirement for automotive sector suppliers.
Starting operations in 2018, Yıldız Demir Çelik ranked 407th in the "Top 1000 Exporting Companies of Turkey" list within the first five months of its exports and won the first place award in the "Medium-Scale Highest Export Increase" category in the "Export Stars Awards" organized by the Steel Exporters' Association. In 2019, Yıldız Demir Çelik rose to 199th place in the "Top 1000 Exporting Companies of Turkey" list and demonstrated its success as one of the top three steel producers showing the most growth in exports in the iron-steel sector.
